Who we are

UniSpark Cleaners is a service brand of UniSpark Africa Facility Care Ltd, a company based in Nairobi, Kenya. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean UniSpark Africa Facility Care Ltd, which is responsible for the personal data described here.

This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website and when you contact or book us, how we use it, and the rights you have under the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019.

Information you give us

Our quote form asks for your name, phone number, the service you need and, optionally, your area and any other details. When you press “Send via WhatsApp”, your browser opens WhatsApp with a message containing these details. The form does not send or store anything on our website; we only receive the information if you choose to send that WhatsApp message.

You may also contact us by phone, WhatsApp or email. When you do, we receive your phone number or email address and whatever you tell us. If you book a cleaning, we may ask for details we need to do the job, such as your address, access instructions, preferred dates and information about the space to be cleaned.

Information collected automatically

This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers, and it does not create user accounts.

Like any website, technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request is processed when you visit. This happens through our hosting provider, Vercel, which keeps server logs to deliver and secure the site. Our fonts are loaded from Google Fonts and our icons from jsDelivr, so those services also receive your IP address and browser details when the page loads.

How we use your information

We use your information to reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote; to schedule and carry out the cleaning you book; to contact you about your booking; to send quotes and invoices and keep records of payments; to handle feedback or complaints; and to meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We will only send you promotional messages if you have agreed to receive them, and you can ask us to stop at any time. We do not sell or rent your personal data.

Our legal basis

We process your personal data because you have asked us for a quote or a service (to take steps before, and to perform, a contract with you), because you have given consent, because we have a legitimate interest in running and improving our business, or because the law requires it.

Who we share it with

We share your details only as needed: with the UniSpark team members assigned to your booking; with service providers we rely on, such as WhatsApp (Meta), our email provider and our website host; and with authorities where the law requires it.

Messages you send us on WhatsApp are also handled under WhatsApp’s own privacy policy. Links on this site to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Google reviews take you to those services, which have their own policies.

Transfers outside Kenya

Some of the providers above, including Vercel, Meta and Google, may process data on servers outside Kenya. Where this happens, we rely on providers that apply appropriate safeguards to protect personal data.

How long we keep it

We keep your personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes above. Booking and payment records may be kept for longer where the law requires, for example for tax and accounting purposes. When we no longer need your data, we delete it or make it anonymous.

How we protect it

We limit access to your information to people who need it to serve you, and we take reasonable steps to protect it from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of sending data over the internet is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

Your rights

Under the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019, you have the right to be told how your data is used; to access the personal data we hold about you; to ask us to correct or delete it; to object to its processing; to withdraw your consent at any time; and, where applicable, to receive your data in a portable format.

To use any of these rights, contact us using the details below. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC) at www.odpc.go.ke.

Children

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
